General Business;

Del to ring Wayne Keightley re lane between State Highway 1 and A'Court St with over grown trees and long grass.
While the slashed gorse in drain adjacent to Harris Contracting has been cleared gorse is still actively growing. Gorse at "tarpot" on Cemetery Rd. also needs attention.
Broken fence at Library has been mended.

Neighbourhood Support;
Margaret Giles then spoke about re-igniting neighbourhood support groups and the need to be ready for any emergency. She handed around a paper for residents to record their e-mail addresses so Alan Muntz can put them on his e-mailing list.

Feilding Promotions;
James then handed the meeting over to Helen Worboys to give us some ideas on what we should do to promote our village and also the Rugby World Cup. A number of ideas were commented on by the business people present. Kristi spoke about the Sunday Market committee's plans for advertising signs to be placed on the main highways to the village and much discussion took place as to what Transit would allow us to do. Bev Burling wanted the signs to differentiate Sanson from Shannon as we are continually being mixed up. Des Mudford suggested that we should stick to the "Gateway" theme. Helen suggested that we contact Feilding Herald asking them to ask readers for their opinions and ideas for a theme that personifies Sanson.
Some discussion was made about the Sunday Market and how it could be made more attractive with stall holders all operating from gazebos rather than selling from the back of their cars.
Another idea that Helen suggested was that we should have an advertising brochure for our businesses that could be handed out to customers.
Helen has access to Rugby World Cup banners which we will have hung in Dundas Rd. Bunting is also available and the committee will decide what we should obtain.
James thanked Helen for her enthusiastic presentation.

As there was no more business meeting closed with supper at 10 pm.
Next meeting in the supper room at 7 30pm on Wednesday July 28th.
