OCTOBER 2005

Part 2

As you will see this month's Snippets is being sponsored by David Pickles and John Whittaker (www.sanson.net.nz) we hope that those of you who are on the net will get behind them in their endeavours. Their web page will also tell you how much rain we have had lately!

After such a long spell of beautiful weather we were needing this rain and we only hope that it stops before we all get fed up with it.

Egmont Tanneries Sheepskin Shop.

When we visited the Sheepskin Shop soliciting money for our Festive Lights we were delighted to see the range of knitting wools there. On speaking to Steve,Chris and Sandy we were told that if there is a demand they would carry a range of haberdashery items such as pins and needles, elastic, buttons, ribbon, knitting needles etc. So if there is anything in that line that you require, before you take the trip to Feilding or Palmy check them out first. In these days of rising petrol prices shopping nearer to home is a better option.

Are you looking for work?

The CHINESE TAKEAWAYS are looking for two staff to work Wednesday to Sunday 4-30 pm to 8-30 pm.

Also

The TE KAWAU RUGBY CLUB would like to hear from anybody interested in operating the club's BAR and/or KITCHEN for the 2006 season.

They would be pleased to talk to anyone interested in operating any part of the above operation.

This would suit a local person who likes a challenge.

To express your interest and acquire more details please contact Colin on 323 5123 or

324 9542 or by writing to the club at P.O.Box 53 Rongotea.

or e-mail or fax 324 8547

THANKS

are due to Steve, Damien, Daniel and Alex for the great help they gave the Hall Committee at short notice to reattach the Acoustic Filters in the Hall which had been knocked down by children firing balls at them. This exercise has cost us $s for hireage of the scaffolding not to mention the volunteer's time and patience. Many years ago I used to regard Mrs. Sanson who was the custodian of the Sandon Hall as a grumpy lady and I now realise why and find that I also have turned into a grump also! Events over the last couple of weeks have tried my patience to the absolute limit and children riding bikes in the Hall was the last straw.

We have many advance bookings for next year and quotes for that special event you are planning can be obtained from Del 329 3674.

SANSON PLAY CENTRE

wish to advise that their A.G.M. will be held at the Play Centre, 2 Phillips St on Saturday 15th October at 10.30a.m. All interested mothers welcome.
