We hereby invite
you4o apply for space to have a stall,o at this-year's market
day in
Dan nevi rke.
The purpose of market
day this year is to celebrate the refurbishment of our town centre
(which we're hoping will be two-thirds completed by then) and
to remind locals and
visitors, what a positive and forward thinking town Dannevirke
is.
For those who have
had a stall at our market day before, or those who are considering
it
for the first time, the following information is important to
note.
Theme
Market Day Make Over
Dress code
All stallholders will be provided with yellow hard hats (like
Bob the
Builder) which we encourage you to wear in support of the major
town refurbishment (you won't recognize the place)!
Market Day
hours
All stalls are to be set up and ready for trading by 9.00 am.
Please be early as there is normally a lot of traffic around on
market
day.
Application for
a Stall
o Application Forms are to be completed and
returned to the Chamber at the address above, by Friday, 26
September 2008.
o To give every
stall holder the chance to maximise their returns
from the day, the Chamber will be selecting the successful
applicants based on the product/service being offered, to ensure
we don't have too many of the same thing, being sold and
promoted on the same day.
o The Chamber reserves
the right to decide which applicants are
granted a site for the day.
o For applications
received by Friday, 26 September, you will be
Notified by Tuesday, 30 September, as to whether your
application for a stall has been successful.
Secretary
Promotion
If successful, a site number (allocating where your stall is to
be
set up) and map, will be sent out to you.
There has already
been a significant amount of interest for
Market Day this year so we encourage you to return your
application quickly.
Upon receiving notification
of your stall site, please forward the
$30 payment to the Chamber of Commerce, prior to Market Day.
There is a lot of
investment made into promoting and advertising
the day on your behalf, and the Chamber has limited financial
funds to do this. Hence prompt payment of your $30 is
appreciated.
o Refunds will be
given for cancellations made up to and including,
Friday, 17 October 2008. No refunds will be given after this date.
Please include a
self-addressed envelope with your application
Promotion of Market
Day will include radio and newspaper
advertising, Information Centre pamphlet, Spring Festival Calendars.
Tea or Coffee
Anyone?
We know it can be hard for stallholders to get a good hot cup
of tea
of coffee when manning their stall all day.
Hence, members of
the Chamber of Commerce will call in to see you
once during the day, to shout you a cuppa, as a token of our thanks
for participating in the day!
