Manawatu District Neighbourhood Support has been requested by the Feilding Police to alert those in rural areas particularly, to take note of any suspicious vehicular activity.

Being spring, it is the season for cannabis growers and it might just be a vehicle parked alongside the road, but the Police would like to know about it.

They request you take down the registration number and a description of the vehicle. Note the location, or any other activity you might witness.

Please call the Feilding Police Station or e-mail this address with any information you think might be helpful. It will be treated anonymously.

The Police have advised that overnight 6/12/11 offenders spent some time and made several attempts to get into the the outdoor furniture shop opposite the Sanson Shell service station. They have finally smashed a window and climbed inside.

The offenders subsequently stole a Mitsubishi Magna WJ1397 from inside the building and driven it out thru a large roller door with out opening the door first. Their actions would have made a lot of noise on a quiet night.

An off duty Police officer was visiting a property on Watershed Road. On arrival at the property a black Toyota Hiace van registration FCF833 (obviously painted - not factory colour) was in the driveway. The driver,25-30 male with very short hair said he was looking for a person who did not live at the address.

Should you get a similar visit, please note the vehicle details, details about the person and the time of the event and call the local station for noting.

A merry and safe Christmas to all.

Thank you on behalf of the Feilding Police and Manawatu District Neighbourhood Support.
