A burglary occured on Green Road, Awahuri yesterday between 8.30 am and 1.00 pm.

A number of household items were taken along with a white Ford Econo Van registration NW9094, a yellow motorcross bike RN85 and a distinctive Kawasaki KXF250. They also took some 2-stoke fuel which if put into the van would create some difficulty for them.

It is thought that they would have departed the area in a southerly direction.

The Feilding Police have adrvised that they have had reports of seven Dairy sheds have been hit by theives in the past day or do. The perpertrators have taken anything moveable from computer, chainsaws and mechanical items.

If you have noticed items missing but not reported the incident please do contact the Feilding Police on 323 6363.

It is recommended that owners of properties where the driveway requires open access and/or cannot be shut off, that you consider the insallation of movement monitors. I personally have one and have been able to deter a couple of people from returning to our property. we have two receivers - one in the living area and the other in the bedroom.

Thank you to those who have completed the survey.

If you haven't completed the form and wish to do so there is still time to get the form back into the office.

If you have misplaced the form and would like another one sent to you, please email me back and I will send one to you.

A couple of snippets so far:

51% of respondents have been female, 36 % male and the balance gave no indication on what sex they were. 45% were concerned about the safety of their vehicle.

Year end
Good morning all

Just to let you know that our office will not be manned from today until 05 January 2010.

I will be monitoring the emails throughout the period and if there is anything urgent do send it through.

While we may be taking a break, others will not be. Remember if you are going away, make the place look as though you are home. Let a trusted neighbour know of your whereabouts and get them to park a car in you driveway from time to time or put their washing on your line and to collect you mail etc.

As another successful year is drawing to a close I wish to extend a warm greeting to you all and hope that this festive season brings you the things in life that you desire.

Kind regards
