SANSON SNIPPETS
FEBRUARY 2010
This month the Snippets comes to you courtesy
of BEAUTY BY DEBZ who is an internationally
qualified beauty therapist. She offers a wide range of therapies
including body massage, facials, eyelash extensions, eyebrow shaping,
specialist skin care, pedicures etc. Her price list is available
on request and she has vouchers available too, so if like me you
are feeling a little jaded call Debz on 3293673. I feel sure you
will not be disappointed!
This is a strange sort of summer we are having
and it seems that the weather we are having over the last few
days is more like Decembers weather. The swimming pool is
being well used with only a few hiccups. We would appreciate it
if users would not throw the furniture in the pool or take their
dogs there. You would think that that would be common sense but
there is no accounting for some people. Similarly at the new toilets
the vandalism that has taken place there is unbelievable. And
at the RECYCLING CENTRE users are still leaving their rubbish.
The rule is if there is not a place for it dont leave it.
I notice that this week when Monday has been a holiday some residents
are still putting their blue bags out. When Monday is a holiday
the collection is on Wednesday.
Good to see so many of you using the walking
track. Thank you to Ed Hills for spraying it and to James ORegan
for mowing it. The Community committee is going to relime it as
soon as the Council provides the lime. We are still agitating
to get the track finished and our patience is wearing thin! Please,
if you are walking your dog carry a plastic bag and dispose of
your dogs faeces in the doggy doo bin, which has been emptied
at long last after we made loud complaints.
The domain is a dedicated dog exercise area and we were surprised
that the Council in their wisdom shut it up for hay! Really the
M.D.C. dont seem to know what happens here in our village.
Many of us were disgusted at the state of the Cemetery at Christmas
time, which is a traditional time for residents and others to
visit, and it seems that we take second place to Feilding. Well
down the mowing roster!
I would dearly love to know whose dog it was
that mauled the old ewe in my paddock and killed her. We believe
that the dog owner knew and put the poor old thing in the creek
to make it look as though she had drowned. If you read this shame
on you! Now I have the problem of what to do with all the grass.
Back to the motor mower! Poor Mini was seven years old and Viv
had had her from a wee lamb. She was a real pet and so friendly
and I will go on being angry for a long time yet. If anyone has
a sheep that they can lend me I would appreciate it.
Kim at the Turtle Farm is also concerned about
the disappearance of her Bengal cat, which went missing on New
Years Eve. This is not the first cat that Kim has lost and
she is feeling very suspicious that there is a catnapper out there.
If you know anything about it please ring her on 3293432. Kim
also wants 2 litre ice cream containers. I gave the wrong phone
number last month. My apologies.

they go on the blink.

CONDOLENCES
Friends of Barbara and Tom Goldstone were sad to hear of Toms
